CONSULTATION APPOINTMENT: STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS
Introduction
These Terms & Conditions set out the terms on which Isabelle Hogg, sole trader, trading as the Dressmaker’s Corset (we/ us/ our) will provide a one-off in-person consultation (the Consultation) to you, the client (you/ your). You should read these Terms & Conditions carefully. If you do not agree to them, you may not book a Consultation.
1. The Consultation
1.1 We will provide the Consultation to you in person, at the time and date selected by you via our online booking platform (or such other time and date as you and we may agree in writing).
1.2 The services to be provided under these Terms & Conditions shall be limited to the Consultation. The Consultation is designed to offer suggestions and advice regarding possible alterations or dressmaking services. It does not commit you to engaging us to provide those alteration or dressmaking services, or us to provide those services. Any such services will be provided under a separate written agreement, and will be subject to additional fees.
1.3 You should ensure you attend the Consultation with any garment you may wish to have altered, the correct shoes and underwear and any accessories or materials which you wish to form part of any alterations and any inspiration images which you may wish to discuss.
2. Payment
2.1 The fees for the Consultation (the Fees) shall be the Consultation fees set out on our booking platform at the time of your booking. We do not currently charge VAT.
2.2 Unless you and we agree otherwise, the Fees are payable in full, in advance, via our online booking platform.
2.3 If you engage us to provide alterations or dressmaking services following the Consultation, we may at our discretion deduct the Consultation Fees from the total cost of those services.
3. Data Protection
3.1 We shall comply with our obligations under the data protection legislation in the UK and our Privacy Notice when collecting, using and storing your personal data.
3.2 With your consent, we may take photographs during the Consultation. Those images will be used for reference if you and we enter into a separate contract for alteration or dressmaking services and for no other purpose, and will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice and the data protection legislation.
4. Cancellation Policy
4.1 You may postpone or cancel the Session with not less than 3 full days’ notice for a full refund. Cancellations made with less than 3 full days’ notice will result in the Fees being non-refundable, unless we are able to obtain another paid consultation booking for the agreed timeslot.
4.2 We reserve the right to reschedule the Session due to unforeseen circumstances, with prior notice to you.
5. Liability
5.1 We do not guarantee specific outcomes from the implementation of any advice or recommendations made by us during the Consultation.
5.2 We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, or consequential damages in connection with the Consultation or the services we provide. Our liability for any loss or damage suffered by you as a result of the Consultation is limited to the amount of the Fees.
6. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
7. Changes to Terms & Conditions
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any such changes will not affect a Consultation which you have already booked and paid for.
